Cyril Williams: Missing pensioner with dementia last seen in Putney Green area

Cyril Williams, 89, was last seen in Putney on Saturday night

An elderly man with dementia who has been missing since walking out of a west London hospital yesterday morning is believed to be in the Putney Green area.

Cyril Williams, 89, left Ealing Hospital shortly after 8am yesterday and police said they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and safety.

Police enquiries have so far found that Mr Williams boarded a bus from Ealing towards Uxbridge at 8.30am yesterday, September 12.

Throughout the day, he is believed to have travelled to and through Shepherds Bush, Camden, Victoria, Tooting, Putney and Kingston, as well as East Molesey and Banstead in Surrey.

Police investigating believe Mr Williams’ last known location was near to Putney Green after taking a bus towards the area last night.

Mr Williams, who lives in Stamford Hill, has not yet returned to his home.

Officers are urging anyone using the transport network in London and Surrey to look out for Mr Williams and call police immediately if they see him.

Detective Sergeant Luke Williams, from Ealing CID, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen Cyril, or knows where he is to get in touch with us as soon as possible, so that we can ensure he is safe and well.”

Mr Williams is described as black, about 5’5”, of frail build, with short black hair, and was last seen wearing dark coloured clothing and a dark grey cap.
